InHanna-Barbera aired their seventh incarnation of the Scooby-Doo show, where Scooby-Doo, Shaggy, Scrappy-Doo and a young con artist named Flim Flam teamed up with renowned magician and warlock Vincent Van Ghoul, to tackle real ghosts and Ghoulies, in a short-lived series called The 13 Ghosts of Scooby-Dooflim flam scooby doo, but that show was cancelled after a mere 13 episodes, with the 13th ghost never being captured.

It would be hard to imagine a more overt, infamous and infamously annoying example of the Poochie Effect than Scrappy-Doo, the pint-sized, tough-talking cartoon sidekick Scooby-Doo brought in in a sad effort to target small children and the disturbingly vast percentage of people who enjoy things that are terrible. That thinking resulted in the creation of Flim-Flam, a character that, despite my many, many, many, many years on this planet, my love of horrible, obscure shit, my recent obsession with Scooby-Doo and the Poochie Effect, I either did not know about or deliberately repressed along with a lot of other painful, traumatic memories. Flim-Flam was a clever street child who briefly joined Scooby-Doo 's gang to assist them in returning all the most terrifyingly-powerful ghosts and demons back into the Chest of Demons. When they failed to capture the thirteenth ghost, they parted ways, leaving Flim-Flam by himself in the Himalayas , trying to profit with merchandise based on the Chest of Demons ice coolers, biscuits, etc. When he first came on the scene, Flim-Flam was a mid-tanned pre-adolescent male, with an unkempt mop of black hair. He stood about a foot taller than Scrappy-Doo , but often slouched so he could appear smaller or taller. He wore white and red sneakers, a red long-sleeved undershirt and a yellow tracksuit whose pockets could hold an impossibly large amount of items. Daphne once described him as being "three-foot six," in height.

Even weirder than seeing them flying around in a private plane is the fact that Daphne seemed okay with Shaggy and Scooby as pilots. They had almost identical, very annoying character traits, with the only difference between them being that one of them was apparently human. Was this supposed to be a case of these creatures having been killed sometime in the past, and now our gang was to do battle with their ghostly versions?
