The Bite of 87 is an incident which led a human victim losing their frontal lobe due to being attacked during the day by an Animatronic. While the victim lived, the attack proved to be another reputation damaging event for Fazbear Entertainment , and the animatronics from then on had their movements restricted during the day. While this event is not directly mentioned, the game takes place within the same year as the bite, and the Freddy's location would be the only place it could have occurred. Phone Guy mentions that the final event of this Freddy's location is a birthday party, telling Jeremy Fitzgerald to move to the dayshift and attend the party dressed in the uniform to keep an eye on the Toy Animatronics to make sure they don't hurt anyone. The implication seems to be that the Bite occurs at this birthday, with one of the Toys attacking Jeremy, which many speculate to be the Mangle.
