Well yesterday I was troublshooting this issue by ohming out the heater connector above the def tank. While working on it, I turned the truck key to on, engine not running, while the def tank sending unit was disconnected. Silly Mistake. This resulted in a host of codes including PE for Reductant Level Sensor Erratic performance, as well as some for the temp sender. The problem is it also threw up the Exhaust fluid System fault, speed limited to 50 mph in 50 miles warning. I cleared all the codes, plugged back in the def sender connector, and started the truck. Exhaust fluid system fault remains. I did several key cycles to see if any trouble codes would come back and none did, but the system fault remains.
