You'll be able to find unique crafts, drink and food producer, designers and much more. Of course, our chaga mushroom tea and herbal wellness teas will be available to purchase through the virtual market. You can shop all of the unique vendors from the comfort of your home or office and Amanda and her team will deliver your order straight to your door. I knew I wanted to execute a market that showcased modern makers, the best Ottawa has to offer, freewheeling craft. Freewheeling craft was a tough experience to go through a store closing of such an influential Canadian brand that had been in the city for decades, and I went through a total burnout afterwards.

Finding the right fit takes time. After looking at many locations, Amanda Cockburn , founder of Freewheeling Craft, an organization bringing new and established artisans together, finally found a dream space to connect Ottawa artists. A long time in the making, but nonetheless worth the wait, 70B Beech officially opens this April. After falling into a bit of a virtual business rut over the past two years, it was a conversation with one of our favourite local makers in June that re-activated my creative spark. I really attribute it to her to get me out of that rut and dreaming about in-person again.

I had a difficult boss there who expected me to put my family second so I made the decision to use my time off to discover how I could work for myself to regain control of my time.
