Nightmare Fredbear is a major antagonist and one of the nightmare animatronics of the Five Nights at Freddy's series, first appearing in Five Nights at Freddy's 4 as the main antagonist. He is a nightmarish variant of Fredbear, who is the mascot of the old Fredbear's Family Diner. This tattered and torn bear animatronic has golden fur and wears a purple hat and bow tie. Out of all the nightmare animatronics except for Nightmare , Nightmarionne , and Nightmare Balloon Boy , Nightmare Fredbear appears to be the least damaged. He is slightly stout and bulkier than the other nightmare animatronics. Bearing such monstrous appearance, he is a mottled golden color with various splotches of brown and has many tears and holes in his suit. Furthermore, he has two black buttons on his chest which is similar to BB 's from Five Nights at Freddy's 2. He has a large head with puffy cheeks, exposed gums in dark color, squarish muzzle, and a wide mouth full of long, sharp teeth. His head, like all the other nightmare animatronics, also appears to be separated into two parts. His small eyes are grey and metallic with red irises and has several long wires poking out from each of his eyes in the form of eyelashes. His claws are silver-colored and razor-sharp, keeping with the nightmare animatronic motif. The hands both have exactly the same design as Springtrap and the other nightmare animatronics. Furthermore, his hands are bigger with fingers except for both thumbs colored in brown. As with all the other nightmare animatronics, his kneecaps as well as shoulder pads are missing, and has a large hole located from the lower part of his left thigh.

Golden Freddy , previously known by the filename, Yellowbear , is a mysterious and ghost-like entity who takes on the form of a yellow animatronic bear. He plays a prominent role in the Five Nights at Freddy's series , although his origins are cryptic and unknown. Undisclosed to Fazbear Entertainment, Inc. Due to this, he and the others are now seeking revenge against their killer by attacking any adults in the pizzeria after-hours in blind rage. Despite the good ending presumably showing his soul to be set free, it's speculated that his spirit refuses. Golden Freddy appears to be a cross between Freddy Fazbear and Fredbear with missing eyes. In the first game, he sports a black bowtie and top hat similar to Freddy, and upon closer inspection a microphone can be seen lying on his right palm, as well as two pinprick white dot-like pupils within his otherwise empty eye sockets. He sits in a slouched position as if he were deceased, with his jaw hanging open and his paws facing palms up. Despite popular belief, he has an endoskeleton that can be easily seen by looking at the arms.

Golden Freddy referred to as Yellow Bear in the game files is an animatronic that appears in Five Nights at Freddy's as the overarching antagonist. He is a discontinued animatronic entertainer who resides in Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, and was formerly a mascot at Fredbear's Family Diner. Golden Freddy is haunted by one of William Afton's victims, being a little girl named Cassidy in the games, and a young boy named Michael Brooks in the original novel trilogy. Golden Freddy appears to be a cross between Freddy and Fredbear with missing eyes. His hat and bow tie appear to be tinted dark blue, as opposed to Freddy's black ones and Fredbear's purple ones, though this may be the result of lighting. His teeth have become solid gold, while his Endoskeleton joints don't attach properly.
