For the last year-ish, hiyaitsashley has been pretty quiet. Things since March have been nothing short of pretty crazy for everyone and a lot of things were put on the backburner for a while. For starters, in June I moved out of my parents home and into my own flat, accompanied by my younger sister. In hindsight, it was pretty crazy, but it was also great. I found a great flat, located right in the centre of town with great transport links, loads of space and close to oretty much all the ammenities we would ever want. I did a fair bit of exploring over the course of which made the whole global pandemic thing a bit more bearable. In August my sister and I took a trip with my grandparents to explore the beautiful burgh that is the correct term, promise, I looked it up of Burntisland before heading on up to the stunning coastal town of Anstruther — home to the best fish and chips in Scotland — I am happy to confirm this fact.

This is just my ranking of the ones I have read. This book. The writing was so strong and emotional and raw. It really stood out for showing emotions well and for developing characters. I felt such a connection to the characters. As far as the retelling aspect goes, I thought Anderson did a wonderful job. The plot was basically a prequel to the original, and followed a different main character, which gave an excellent new perspective and kept it from being too similar to the original. The vibe matched the dark, wild, and free aesthetic we occasionally see in the original, and I absolutely loved that aspect of it. This series. We follow a teenage Wendy in the s as she pursues her dream of being a captain in the British Navy. It is vastly different from the original, but in the best way possible. It uses familiar characters and plot lines, to a degree, but delivers a unique and fresh perspective. I love the sailing in these books, the descriptions of being on the sea. Wendy is a strong main character, and a feminist. I appreciate that her feminist ideology is shown in her actions.

Andrew C S Koh takes the biblical passages and compares them to his life story. His writing brings the Bible to life and the reading contemporary. As he makes comparisons to his life, we are able in turn look inside our own souls. I have read several books by Dr, Koh and I enjoy each and every one of them, Pamela Anne Reinert, Goodreads, 5 out of 5 stars This is a good book to take you on Jacob's journey during your daily life.
