Grey Bruce Singers would like to thank all those who attended our Christmas Concerts. Your ongoing supp ort is very much appreciated. GBS is very excited to share the news of our next session that begins on January 3, Both of these talented women have been past members of the GBS choir and will bring a tremendous amount of energy, creativity and experience to our Spring Concerts. From to , Bill Hill directed the group and presented May and Yuletide musicals in conjunction with the Musical Society Orchestra. These programmes consisted of both sacred and secular music. Ruth MacMicking of Hanover continued the tradition from to Doug Hamilton, who led the choir during the 's. Hamilton was also responsible for several operettas and musical comedies, including "Mame", "H. Pinafore", "Trial by Jury" and various children's shows. Hamilton left. The Grey Bruce name acknowledged the fact that many of the choir members were from the surrounding areas.

Krista Bell was born and raised in Durham, ON. She is married and is the proud mother of two sons. She currently resides just outside of Durham on Bell Creek.

A highlight of the career of GBS was a tour of Scotland and England which enabled the choir to sing in many churches and cathedrals, including the awe-inspiring Canterbury Cathedral during their participation in the Maidstone Festival in All Saints Church. Krista has directed choirs in London, Woodstock and Toronto. Yuki moved to Canada in where she is currently the pianist at Grace United Church in Hanover, provides piano lessons at home and Dawnview School and on occasion performs with several choirs and musicians including as accompanist for the Grey Bruce Singers. She is excited to work with this group and to share in the joy of making music, friendships and connections with the group and community.
