First built in Japan probably by Yamaha , the first years were hand made with formed end caps. Ford produced 11, Lightnings from 93 to Which had a 5. The lightning version will have the mounting screw holes directly below the tail of the horse while the FRPP version will have the holes directly below the rear leg. The difference is subtle though. I guess you could even consider getting a Systemax 2 and running it now, if you get larger heads you can have the intake ported and it can grow with your setup. When you really want to see a difference, you have to go with heads, cam, intake, throttle body, gears for the rear, etc. Cover Plates! I had that port n honed and heads and that made a world of difference on my 95GT. Project 1 is a bigger alternator and I'm in search of 2. It made rwhp and around tq on an aod. You're half way there with the intake off. I guess for you it depends on how the EGR and other stuff fit into the equation to avoid any annoying vacuum issues….
