This guide will highlight the main mission strategies and Gold Medal requirements needed to complete every main story mission. On a first playthrough, the mission is triggered by Franklin when he goes to Michael 's house. After the cutscene, drive over to the airfield and get into the crop duster and fly out towards the skyline. Tail the cargo plane while flying low and staying under the radar. You have a very low ceiling for the first several minutes of the mission. As the Merryweather plane flies towards Mount Chiliad , the radar limit is lifted and Trevor can fly at normal height.

Trevor doesn't want to deal with Merryweather on the ground so he gets in a Duster to meet them in the air. Trevor finds the cargo plane and follows it, staying close to the ground so he doesn't alert the plane as they're in restricted airspace. Trevor follows the plane through Paleto Bay and back into Sandy Shore.

Trevor flies towards a Merryweather cargo plane circling near Fort Zancudo. In order to avoid the fort's radar, Trevor flies low to the ground when following the plane along the coast of San Andreas.

Get in the car and go to the airfield. Get in the Duster and follow the cargo plane at a low altitude to be invisible to military radars. The most convenient way is to fly over rivers, the ocean and the freeways. As soon as Ron announces that you left the military airspace, start to gain altitude. When you get close to a cargo plane, you will be urged to change course. Ignore this and continue to verge towards the cargo plane. Its ramp will open, and soldiers will fire at you with rockets and small arms. You need to land the Duster inside the cargo plane.
