A collaboration between Gwinnett County and the city of Suwanee will bring a new fire station next to the planned Suwanee Town Center on Main park project. The 11,square-foot station, which will be an EarthCraft certified building with sustainable green initiatives, will house a fire engine and an ambulance and will be staffed by five firefighters and paramedics. The station will be designed to accommodate 11 personnel at one time and will include three drive-through apparatus bays, a gear and equipment room, an industrial grade kitchen, an administrative office area and individual bunkroom cubicles with separate male and female locker and shower facilities.
