We are in Scotland, and are thinking of travelling down to Norfolk in search of a slightly warmer, or at least less rainy, climate. We are debating between these two parks - has anyone been to both and could advise as to pros and cons for these? We have DC 8 and 4. I also liked the idea of Wild Duck but is it more a camping site, rather than a caravan site? Wild Duck is less camping in my experience and more caravan - they have camping pitches but they're not great as someone who has done both.

Hey, I have towels and bed linen in there, how much did you think it was going to weigh? Check in. If you go on your own, with the kids AND the dog, you will have a problem because the dog can't come to check in. I have no idea what you're suppose to do. Dan stood outside for an hour with her while I checked us in. We had a standard van, since we were taking the dog. This was really nice. Clean and tidy, well equip, and stood up excellently to a five year old and a puppy. We only flooded the bathroom once. Mind those fixed plugs

Hopton is a heavenly place to escape to on the Norfolk coast. Direct beach access, one pool with water slides and palm tree fountains and a second simple pool for a relaxed swim, plus a family amusement centre and Inflatable Arena makes the park an amazing place to treat the family. Some of the many things to do at Hopton Holiday Village include the epic SplashZone indoor pool, jaw-dropping events arena, The Marina Bar and Stage and of course the gorgeous beach directly accessible from the park. Take a short drive to Pleasurewood Hills Theme Park for fairground fun or hire a boat and explore the tranquil Norfolk Broads. Glorious forest trails and hidden clearings are here to be explored. The beautiful Great Yarmouth beachfront plays host to Seashore holiday park where top Norfolk attractions such as the Pleasure Beach and Golden Mile await. Craving a traditional seaside holiday? Come to the Norfolk coast for miles and miles of golden sand, plus lashings of Haven fun. Is the park wheelchair friendly?

Sounds like Caister might be the favourite then for beach and pool. The village of Hopton has a Somerfield garage which is cheaper than the convenience store and there are 2 tescos and an asda within a short driving distance. Short haul who can countersign my passport photo? Yet we have bought a six year old caravan its got double glazing, central heating, ensuite shower and toilet and its classed as a standard plus!
