The County contains Deputy Sheriffs are certified law enforcement officers, trained and certified by the New Hampshire Police Standards and Training Council. In addition to our primary duties, this office also provides assistance, as needed, to other New Hampshire law enforcement agencies, including responses to emergency situations and critical incidents. The New Hampshire Department of Safety has announced the launch of its NH Alerts Mobile App , a free tool that notifies users of hazards in their area based on cellphone location.
