Hjc helmets review
Retro helmets are rarely this sorted, rarely this good, and rarely this anticipated. HJC Helmets has long been one of my favorites when it comes to quality, style, and value for money.

HJC reckon the shell is one of the most advanced around — and is made up of layers of Aramid Kevlar is an aramid , carbon fibre and fibreglass. HJC have included an integral non-removable chin curtain and neck curtain around the bottom of the helmet that should keep some breeze out and is designed to reduce noise coming into the helmet from wind blast around the bottom of the helmet and the jacket collar. Words pretty well by all accounts. Which is a good thing. Having three helmet shell sizes means the Max should have the right shell size for your head whatever size helmet you pick — XS to XXL.

At road. Our reviewers are experienced cyclists that we trust to be objective. While we strive to ensure that opinions expressed are backed up by facts, reviews are by their nature an informed opinion, not a definitive verdict. We don't intentionally try to break anything except locks but we do try to look for weak points in any design. The overall score is not just an average of the other scores: it reflects both a product's function and value — with value determined by how a product compares with items of similar spec, quality, and price. Good scores are more common than bad, because fortunately good products are more common than bad. The HJC Furion 2. HJC's Selfit system is great, providing a secure mechanism to keep the helmet snug to the head without feeling too tight. It looks and feels pretty aerodynamic — though that's something we objectively test — and is also very light. If it's great ventilation you're after though, you're best of checking out the best cyling helmets of instead.
Drop down sun visor? Finally, hjc helmets review, we wear a motorbike helmet because it gives us some great head protection, right? The visor mechanism works well although you need to get used to the lock at the front in the middle instead of the usual left-hand side.
With the sun making more of an appearance lately yay! Even compared to a lot of much more expensive helmets, the i70 has a really good, quality feel about it, with a lot of the hallmarks of a top-tier helmet, but at an affordable price. The ventilation works superbly well, with the two big top intake vents at the forehead, and another in the middle of the chin-bar, as well as the two exhaust ports on the back of the helmet. Pull out the removable and washable internal liner and you can see the large 10mm wide airflow channels, designed to keep your head nice and cool even on the hottest days. The strong visor detents and hinges are still just as good as ever, too. Another feature I do like is the quick-latch chinstrap, meaning it cinches up quickly and easily — and no double-d rings to fight with!
The protection of a full-face helmet combined with the convenience of a flip-up chinbar is really hard to beat. Plus that blends carbon and carbon-glass into a hybrid fabric. The interior is 3D-engineered to reduce noise, and combined with the aerodynamic shell, neck roll, and chin curtain, the helmet does a good job of dulling wind noise. The 90S has a plush, removable comfort liner, recessed ear pockets, and channels to accommodate glasses. The anti-scratch faceshield is Pinlock-ready an anti-fog insert comes in the box , and a sliding lever on the lower left edge of the helmet deploys or retracts the drop-down sunshield. Vents on the chinbar, crown, and rear of the helmet are easy to open or close with gloved hands. There is no EPS padding built into the chinbar, but it does latch closed with metal pins and locks securely. Otherwise, vision is very good through the large eyeport.

The most recent addition to the line is the RPHA 91 modular motorcycle helmet with a Premium Integrated Matrix EVO shell made from a blend of materials that includes carbon-aramid, carbon fiber, glass fiber, organic nonwoven fabric, and linen fiber, all of which contribute to enhanced shock resistance and light weight. A size Medium weighs 3. The RPHA 91 includes several thoughtful features, such as large, paddle-like air vents. The temple vents are operated with a slide and are much smaller, but I almost always leave them open. Another nice feature on the RPHA 91 is the drop-down sunshield. The RPHA 91 solves that problem with an adjustable sunshield. Removing the plate on the left side of the helmet reveals a three-setting switch. Dropping the sunshield to the middle position suited me the best. HJC accomplished this with two design elements. The lock mechanism is a little tricky to work with gloved hands but not impossible.

EK Spinner 1 hour 39 min ago. So, here's a bunch of HJCs' more budget price helmets. Most modular HJCs are at the lower end of the price bracket, but some are both cheaper and great performers too. I might get tired of seeing this helmet, but if I do see it it will be for a good reason. So they should know a Still, the helmet was built to look good first and be a decent performer everywhere else. Support road. Honestly, this Selfit mechanism is genius, and I don't know why it hasn't been used before. Make and model: HJC Furion 2. This helmet is a properly lightweight lid that even comes close to the other light helmets in my collection, which can be attributed to the fact that it is a single-visor lid with a fiberglass shell. Whilst this does a good job of keeping out draughts and reducing noise, riders blessed with a few extra chins may find they have to ride without it. Having three helmet shell sizes means the Max should have the right shell size for your head whatever size helmet you pick — XS to XXL. The bottom four holes vent to your face while the upper two vent to the visor. It keeps the helmet constantly sat on your head correctly without any loose wobble, but also you don't feel like it is trying to tear your scalp off. Add new comment 2 comments.
