Hey, all. Brandon here. With the release of this book, there have been some minor updates to continuity that I think some of you will find relevant. For those unfamiliar with the backstory, this little behind-the-scenes action has been a source of some consistent problems. The outline, and original draft, of Well had Vin and Elend traveling up to Terris, then into the mountains, to find the Well itself. This was a huge momentum killer in the story.

Would someone with a strong moral compass such as Kaladin and Dalinar consider Wit's alignment moral? Dalinar is more likely to understand than Kaladin, because Dalinar's been in positions. Kaladin is less likely to, but it depends on what aspects of what Hoid's doing you're taking about. At the end of Oathbringer, Hoid is there, and he uses the Breath to talk to the doll, and he gives the doll to K-whoever - he gives it to someone named Cob and Kheni. So, is Kheni a Parshman? Is the fact that Hoid has been a Dawnshard related in some way with the "bearer of the first gem" title? So, I just had a question about the name Hoid. Is there anything you can give me the "O" and the "I" and the "D"? The only ones that have the "O" and the "I" are these two right here. Am I onto anything here, or is that just a coincidence? Yes, in this [ The Final Empire ] he shows up briefly, Kelsier meets with a blind beggar at one point who is introduced by the name Hoid and that is the name Wit uses through most of the books. If you read Warbreaker he's in that one, there is a storyteller who uses dust and sand. He's in most of them Way of Kings is where you see him the most he's not in the other ones nearly as much but he's mentioned by name in most of them.
Windrunner Savant How old hoid Wit appear to be? I own the place, technically. If there are important events happening in the Cosmere, a tipping point or critical juncture, Hoid will be there I can guarantee it, hoid.

If I have to watch this world crumble and burn to get what I need, I will do so. With tears, yes, but I would let it happen.

It chronicles the journey of Tress as she travels the world of Lumar to rescue her beloved, Charlie , after he is kidnapped by the Sorceress. Unlike other Hoid stories which tend towards more fanciful, Tress' adventures reflect real-world cosmere events that occurred, though the tale still includes artistic liberties added by Hoid as part of his storytelling style.

The outline, and original draft, of Well had Vin and Elend traveling up to Terris, then into the mountains, to find the Well itself. This was a huge momentum killer in the story. Having your cityscape-focused book suddenly turn into a traveling quest fantasy for a few chapters felt very out of place, and required too much strange time-jumping to make it work.

He removed his bandages, hoping to find himself transformed into an Elantrian, but the transformation had not occurred. Hoid is such a mystery I've been gnawing on like a bone since he appeared in Stormlight. Certain things that happened there made him immortal. He speaks to Kaladin about his flute and mentions that he wants an interesting story from him. Is that Roshar? Hoid then transitioned through the Well and stole a bead of lerasium from the adjacent room. Which I could now draw. Hoid has a bead of Lerasium from the world Scadrial , a powerful magical metal that grants magical powers.
That will be relevant in just a minute. But first, Bing! I had a good week of writing.
Those are the things I worry about. He wears a stiff black coat and carries a long thin sword at his waist. Some men, as they age, grow more cynical. Questioner Visited the pace he thought he could restore? Brandon Sanderson I wanted something that felt unique, but also would be simple. There were other side effects of the Dawnshard. The books are all in the same universe. Windrunner Savant Specifically Wit. Perhaps he sees where he needs to be before he gets there. This is more the critic in me having noticed that my own expectations for a piece play dramatically into how much I enjoy it. Further, that there had so far been a random location that was of absolutely no use to anyone.
What rare good luck! What happiness!
In it something is. I agree with you, thanks for the help in this question. As always all ingenious is simple.
In my opinion you commit an error.
