A: You can barely use the cars that come with it. Maybe a smaller hot wheel. Some playsets are themed and have a 5-pack of cars sold separately that are meant to go with the set. A: I works surprisingly well. Some don't work though. The shorter the vehicle, the more likely it is to work. Things like fire trucks won't work. Also, cars with tapered front ends work better.
