The death of Mrs Afton is currently unknown. Her death was theorized to be a car crash or suicidal. Evan, William's youngest son, was the first of the Afton family to die.

Now for some reason, maybe because they were low on cash, maybe because nobody in their right mind would willingly put on a spring lock suit and perform for kids, or maybe even because they just loved kids so much would explain why it is so easy for Will to lure and manipulate them later, because he was very good at performing for them and knew what they would want to hear William and his Wife wore the two suits. Now I have yet to decide who wore which suit, as I can argue for either side, but more on that in a little bit. Henry could have also worn the suit instead of Afton's wife.
