Channeling his Spiritual Pressure, Ichigo launches into a full fight against Yhwach and the Sternritter leader quite easily deals with Ichigo's efforts. Bleach has been an immensely complex manga and is laced with several complicated ideas that do not completely appear to explain how things have gone about in that world. Some of the fight scenes are incompletely explained, where convenience, chance, and luck play a greater role than actual fighting acumens, such as the fight between Yhwach and Ichigo. So, how did Ichigo defeat Yhwach? Firstly Aizen tricked Yhwach with his Shikai , making it appear that Yhwach was fighting Ichigo and Renji , while it was only Aizen that Yhwach was fighting the whole time. This reveals an important fact about Yhwach, projecting that he was not beyond the control and power extent of Aizen.

Yhwach is the final boss for Ichigo and friends to face off against, and he certainly puts them through the wringer. Yhwach is the enigmatic and imposing God-like leader of the Quincy Army, the Wandenreich. Alongside him are his "Captains," the Sternritter, who were bestowed a letter by him in relation to their abilities. Anime-only audiences have only had a few glimpses of the ominous figure, but it's still enough to showcase the threat he carries to the seretei. Those who have read the manga know there's more to Yhwach than meets the eye.

Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War has made it to the climactic finale of the first real fight between the Soul Reapers and Quincies, and the newest episode of the series surprised with the sneaky way that Sosuke Aizen had actually managed to help Ichigo Kurosaki when he really needs it. When the invasion of Soul Society began, the various Captains realized just how much trouble they were really in when it comes to this new group of enemy Quincies. But even more worrisome is the fact that there was a secret plan underneath the bloody massacre that actually involved Aizen as a core facet. One of the biggest swerves revealed in Yhwach's fight against Yamamoto was not only that he was fighting with a clone of the enemy leader the entire time which had nearly the same amount of strength that he did , but he did so in order to actually pursue his real goal of talking with Aizen. Trying to recruit the villain to his cause but ultimately failing to do so, it was soon revealed that Aizen left a much more surprising impact on Yhwach than the villain realized. Episode 7 of Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War sees Ichigo fighting against Yhwach, but it was immediately clear that there was a huge gap in power between the two of them. Although Ichigo was able to survive at the end of it all, their fight could have had a much more fatal ending had Aizen not helped out. It's revealed that in the brief moment where Yhwach had spoken to Aizen, Aizen's abilities had impacted his senses and threw off his timing. Which meant that he ran out of time where he and the Quincies could remain in the Seireitei and thus was forced to retreat before dealing Ichigo the final blow.
