I think I should be able to choose to wear any clothes, imvu men, male or female regardless of what gender I imvu men. There are some men's clothing that can be worn by female avatars. You just have to try them on before buying to be sure. Same goes for some female clothing being able to be worn by male avatars.

To fully appreciate it I need to sort myself a decent avi and this is wear I am struggling at present. I have done a bit of reading and research and am slowly getting to grips. It is so much more complicated than IMVU in every way.

Depending on the shape of the mesh being used will depend on the shape it will appear to be. Virtualnsanity I appreciate that you like my rocker look and are interested in creating a similiar look for yourself, but kindly use your own images for your forum profile picture and signature banner, and STOP using my own images of my SL avatar. And you may have to look in both the male and female catalogs to find these items. Depending on how detailed the item is and whether or not there is already a mesh that is in the catalog that can be used to make what you want will all add to the price you may need to pay some one just to make the item for you. Depending on what kinds of clothing you wear, it might not matter.
