SURELY there must be a solution, a generic driver, a new sound card, something to resurrect this machine that mostly works ok otherwise except the bogging down from Antimalware Service Executable that also has taken tens of hours to try and fix to no avail. I use this computer daily and need audio as I do some video editing and need the sound to work.
