You can find all sorts of TV shows about experts flipping, renovating and remodeling houses, but "Homestead Rescue" gives the fixing-the-family-home genre a rural spin. The Discovery Channel series features what the press site describes as "expert homesteader Marty Raney, along with his daughter Misty Raney, a farmer, and son Matt Raney, a hunter and fisherman," who team up to help families struggling with their homesteading dreams. In this week's episode, the Raney clan helps out a family in the Glide, Oregon area, in Douglas County. The novice homesteaders are Terry and Ginger Jones, who moved from California after a series of setbacks and are trying to make a go of it at their Oregon homestead.
