People believed that she choked the little boy to death and that she claims innocence by her touch.

This made her lose her "innocent" look and made her look somewhat more sophisticated. Shatter Me 's numerous metaphors, similes, and endless descriptions just didn't make sense. Adam eventually helps Juliette escape from Warner, and as they escape, Warner's hand brushes against Juliette's ankle, revealing that Warner also can touch Juliette without consequence. Young adult dystopian thriller novel by Tahereh Mafi. Until Juliette met Adam, she had never known what it means to be loved and accepted. There is instalove up the wazoo in here, and even when Juliette finds out that Adam was put in her cell to spy on her under the guise of being a fellow prisoner, she forgives him stunningly quickly, and is constantly telling us how much she wants to touch him. The pacing was ok for a YA dystopian book, idk, the metaphors were taking away everything logical here. He still has the most unusually blue eyes I've ever seen. Juliette sees Adam and rushes to hug him, revealing to Castle that he can touch her. Later on, her adoptive parents Eric and Evelyn send her into an asylum because of her powers. More reviews and ratings. Honestly, I have no idea what I just read. As the story goes on this device gets used less and less and so it feels more like Mafi just used it in the beginning for fun and to make her book look different from the rest of the young adult books out there, which, unfortunately, it is NOT, especially when you get to the romance.
