Chrissy is extremely knowledgeable, patient, and comfortable with dogs of all breeds, temperaments, and sizes. Our pitbull, Dixie, struggles with reactivity to other dogs and taking her on walks in hectic Manhattan became extremely stressful for us and her. Chrissy taught us a TON - from obedience training to safety precautions to behavioral solutions, and we have learned so much about helping Dixie live her happiest and safest life. We use the training exercises Chrissy taught us every day and have seen Dixie make immense progress as a result. She combines so many methods, she is gentle and extremely effective in solving the problems I have had with my XL American Bully "Rip". Rip was about a year old when I contacted Allie, He had been hand biting and jumping on all of my family members and was also near impossible to walk on a leash. Dogs with bad house manners, dogs that can't be taken in public, and dogs with behavioral problems are what I specialize in. Why do I do it? I love being able to improve the quality of life for dogs and the people who love them. My favorite thing is seeing the looks of joy and relief in the eyes of the owner when they realize life with their dog just got easier. Obedience training is where this starts. Once your dog understands commands and what their role is, it is time for you, the owner, to learn them too. Not only will I teach you the commands I have taught your dog, but I will also teach you how to gain respect and trust from your dog. Dog training is not a one-time event. For this reason, both the dog and the owner has the possibility of either success or failure.

Three years ago we got a dog. The only reason I got this dog was for my kids. Ever since my 14 year old daughter was 3 years old she wanted a dog. Over the years she wrote reports about taking care of a dog. She researched different types of dogs. She even presented us with a proposal that explained all of the reasons that a family should have a dog. She passionately wanted a dog for her entire life. I had many friends and family who had dogs and they loved them as if they were one of their children. But, as mothers sometimes do, I eventually relented and allowed a dog into our home. I did this for my kids and only my kids, knowing that it was going to be a sacrifice and a nuisance for me.
