Just wanted to see if anyone can comment on quality comparison if they have done something similar? We have a Kaboodle rep booked in to visit us and come up with a design and are now looking to go out and meet IKEA's kitchen planners. We are in Sydney, room is about 3. I need to upgrade the kitchen in a small unit in the Eastern Suburb of Melbourne. I am indecisive between Bunnings Kaboodle Kitchen or Ikea…. Ikea has 25 years warranty and has cheaper range while Kaboodle offers only 10 years. Any suggestion? I think it depends on what the market wants. I know you have posted that you chose a company to do it but thought I would reply in case others needed help. We have a Ikea kitchen here in NY….. Ikea is cheaper and has long years of warranty. I choose Ikea if you have two choices only. Anyway, try to find cheaper yet good quality.
Hope there is no similar Japanese kitchen kit.

I have heard that Ikea cabinets are very thin but I have also read that Bunnings doors misalign quickly and look cheap. Bunnings sells Blum too Ikea doesn't have exclusivity to the hinges as they are pretty standard in cabinet making everywhere. You can try a joinery company as they can actually have competitive prices to Bunnings and Ikea depending on size. They can also come in under as they include all the necessary trades.
