You can do a lot of things in Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot. You can fight epic battles and train to gain more power, sure. But you can also drive cars, bond with side characters, and hunt. It's that last bit that plays a big part in one of the game's more tedious early-game side quests. There are three items on the list: Rice, Eggs, and a Royal Tomato. Rice and Eggs can be bought at any grocer and come with some activity rewards. You probably have enough already.

You just need to talk to a character, fly somewhere, beat up some goons, and collect your reward. To get some for free, open up the world map and head to Olive Village in the East Ravine area. From what we've played, it looks like these are the most likely to contain Silver Ore. As for the other items, the one most likely to give you trouble is Densite.

There many be multiple methods to obtain Great Energetic Fish. I checked all of the stores and spent quite some time fishing before I found a more reliable method. As I mentioned, they may be available elsewhere but this is a sure-fire way to get the 10 Energetic Fish you require to complete the Tough Break For Turtle Substory. They can be difficult to find at first but go a little deeper into the water and check between the rock formations down there. You may get Fish Eggs and other items too but the Great Energetic Fish are quite common, I was able to get 10 in minutes.
