Under the belief that the omnipotent god Mitama will come to save him, Yukito Urabe participates in a ritual to become the new leader of his father's cult. One day, Yukito finds himself the victim of a ritual where he would be tossed into the ocean and be reborn as the new leader of the cult. As he sank to the bottom, Yukito wishes to be born into a world bereft of religion and gods.
