Kickin' Inn took over the former Rose Hotel site and has cured those lingering winter blues with a signature offering of seafood tossed through punchy house-made 'Kajun' sauces. For the uninitiated, Port Melbourne's Kickin' Inn offers an all-in, bibs-and-gloves experience, where diners do away with cutlery and get their hands messy with bags full of prawns, mud crab, pipis and shellfish — using only the tools that your god gave you. The Cajun-inspired house sauces — here, dubbed 'Kajun' — are more than mere support acts, with the venue boasting five flavour-charged secret recipes. If feasting is on the agenda, you'll find an abundance of snacks to kick things off. These include baby octopus, mozzarella cheese sticks, freshly-shucked Sydney rock oysters and wings galore.

Nice place for an occasion. I only have photos of the aftermath, but as you can see it was a devoured. Had such a great experience here for my birthday! They're amazing. A bit pricey but highly recommend you try it out. Never disappoints! Worth a try at the very least, and revisit if you like the spice and seafood. Prawns here are generally great quality. We visited the place on a Sunday and it was not crowded. I highly recommend this place for all seafood lovers!! Food was great and atmosphere was very friendly. Looking forward to the next visit! We went there for my birthday celebration and it was my one of the best experience. All the wait staffs were so friendly. Fun way to eat seafood with family and friends!

They are awesome. Received a nice free dessert, must've been like a Caramel tart, nice! Interesting experience, they dump the food out on the table and you simply dig in wearing the black latex gloves they provide. My kids loved their food, portion sizes for the kids were great. As for the food lunch , we found it to be very nice. Despite all this, they got our food out fairly quickly - presumably because they were just bulk making the food. I only have photos of the aftermath, but as you can see it was a devoured. Our server Sanjay was adorable and full of personality plus. I ask if this can be served alongside the seafood rather than as an appetiser. Went a few weeks ago, Carla and her team were amazing from start to finish. Well worth the 2 trains and 6 minutes walk to get there. Two of us ordered a shared bag, extra Bay Bugs and 2 serves of garlic bread. Garlic Cajun is the way to go!
