The inn sits adjacent to the Anne of Green Gables House and just a half hour drive from Charlottetown making it a great home base for exploring the island. While it is not oceanfront, there is a pathway leading straight to the Lake of Shining Waters. The first decision you have to make when planning a trip to Prince Edward Island PEI is where you want to set up your home base. After thorough research, we decided on Cavendish, which has a central location on the northern coast. It is a family friendly area with endless activities for kids of all ages as well as easy access to the National Park and beaches. Cavendish is only a 45 minute drive from the bridge and the central location makes day-tripping in either direction quite easy. Kindred Spirits is what Anne with an E, of course called her friends. It is very aptly named, as you will feel like you are visiting an old friend as you drive down the dirt road lined with purple loosestrife. While the Inn is centrally located right off of Route 6, it is set back in a quiet peaceful area. Check in was a breeze. We were given a map of the property so we could find the location of our cottage. All of the cottages line the outskirts of a large green field.

This comfortable inn in Cavendish offers free Wi-Fi, as well as a Jacuzzi and an outdoor heated pool. They provide a private bathroom and a desk. The inn is less than a minute drive from Charlottetown Airport and Green Gables is a short walk away. Charlottetown and Summerside are situated a short drive away. Prices are based on 1 night, not including taxes and fees.
