Its primarily book purists who take issue with the show adaptation of Jon Snow, and their hangups with the differences in versions of the character end up getting blamed on Kit. Show Jon is a lot more quiet and stoic but it really works specifically because of Kit. Kit brings so much life and individuality to Jon Snow, but because he is playing a very stoic character his subtle acting gets over looked for others, and book purists blame him for character attributes that are the writers fault not his. Kit is practically asleep during season 7 but I do not blame him. His character was being primed as an intelligent, brave and valiant heroic King, and he is side lined very hard and written so out of character it seems Kit really struggled knowing what to do. Which is why we get so many fucking funny facial expressions from Jon that season because both the character and actor are trapped in the dumbest plot with the dumbest people.

You didn't tell me my name till I was 11! In Glamour asked him why his parents hadn't told him before and he responded: "I haven't got a clue! I think they could see that I wanted to be Kit, but Christopher was a bit of a tradition. My brother's name is Jack, but his real name is John.

Kit Harington still feels a bit uncertain about joining another franchise so soon after the completion of Game of Thrones , but the chance to play a compelling character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe was too tempting to pass up. While Harington understands the attention surrounding their on-screen reunion, he, along with Madden, remain relatively unaffected by it. For fans of Game of Thrones , to see two major roles from that world in another one feels like a bigger thing than it does to me and Richard. Then he addresses the possibility of reuniting with another Thrones co-star and dear friend, Emilia Clarke , in the MCU. That makes me happy that you think that. That was probably my objective in this. I was only in it for a limited period of time, so I kind of needed the audience to warm to him. He was humanity or he represented humanity, really. So what was on your mind as you weighed this decision?
