Wednesday night, Officers were dispatched to the area of North Grand Avenue and William Parkhurst Drive in reference to a motor vehicle crash. Upon arrival, Officers found a vehicle that had flipped onto its roof. Both drivers and the second vehicle had left the area. No arrests have been made. Early Friday morning, Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of West 16th Street and South Grand Avenue because the car was not properly registered.

This article is compiled from the Sedalia Police Department crime reports. In the late-night hours of March 16th, Sedalia Police observed a truck stopped at the stop light, headed southbound at the intersection of South Engineer Avenue and East Broadway Boulevard. The truck was stopped almost the entire truck length past the stop line. The truck turned eastbound on Broadway Boulevard, driving over the dashed line and slowly drifted into the outside lane without signaling. The driver was found to be intoxicated.

Officers spoke with Kyden McMain, who stated his Nike tennis shoes were stolen from his apartment. No charges have been submitted at this time. Monday evening, Officers responded to the area of West 4th Street and South Vermont Avenue in regard to a past sexual assault. The assault took place in the block of North Engineer Avenue. At the time of the report, the victim was transported to the hospital to be screened by medical personnel. However, he did not wish to prosecute the person alleged to have assaulted him. A report was completed to document the incident. Sedalia Police were dispatched to the block of East 9th Street in regard to a fraud report on the afternoon of February 1st.
