I remember Barajas 20 when it first opened in its original location in calle Conde de Barajas number 20 many years ago. My favourite is this one, as it is a street-level tapas bar the other two are inside shopping centres at Gourmet Experience Duque and Torre Sevilla.

A totally serendipitous visit — twice. The first time, back in the spring of , I had arranged to meet friends for lunch at a different bar near the Puerta de la Carne market. Then it turned out that I was having such a nice time talking to the family who run this very cosy and comfortable bar, that by the time my friends arrived I suggested we stay put. It was meant to be. Both times. I love the bar dining area, which has now expanded into an adjacent dining space, and there is also an ample side walk terrace.
