La Maison du Steak is a French restaurant near Cambridge station. The food was very good, if maybe a little expensive, and it had good wine.

It has been on my list for years but for one reason or another it has always managed to escape me. La Maison Du Steak is a family run restaurant. You may remember their popular French cafe that unfortunately closed back in , Le Gros Frank. The restaurant is cosy and intimate with a stylish yet traditional interior. The menu is divided up into all the different selections of meat on offer, from fish, beef, chicken, and lamb. It has taken me a long time to get here, I had heard a lot about their tomahawk steaks and I had quite an appetite on me, so I decided to go for it!

With the heat the cheese was still melting throughout the meal so it tasted even better along with the fresh salad next to it and homemade garlic mayo sauce. As always an amazing experience at this great restaurant.

Will definitely be back! January Went out for a dinner here. The service was quite good. We both had had the Sirloin steak, which was quite nice. Took a star off for the sides and starters. Good value for money though. Nice friendly greeting and a chilled vibe inside. Steak was really good and I thought good value. Nice glass of rose too. The steak was cooked to perfection.
