Originally a live-action stage play, LazyTown became a hit Iceland-based children's television show that made its American debut on cable television station Nick Jr. Created by star Magnus Scheving, LazyTown lazytown apple essentially a vehicle to promote healthy activity in kids.

Robbie then slips the apple to Sportacus who eats it thinking it is healthy. When Sportacus eats sugar, he has what is known as a "sugar meltdown", leaving him too weak to stand or concentrate. Sportacus can only regain his strength by eating something healthy like a normal apple within arms reach, once Sportacus has a bite he regains his strength.
