Formed in with 4 teams, it has grown into the largest club in Northern NSW. This takes in the larger townships of Lismore, Ballina and Byron Bay. The non-competitive teams, which represent about half of our club, are grouped into smaller more local leagues and generally cover from Ballina to Byron Bay and inland to Alstonville. All junior teams played by senior rules with 11 players taking the field and playing on full size fields. Our first games were played at Lennox Head Public School and when our senior men started in they played at Cawarra Park in Ballina. The first year we played in purple and white which were Ballina team colours and were loaned to us by Ballina Club. Our first canteen was a dilapidated caravan that Jim Monoghan and crew towed to our home games and was run by the senior boys until Brenda Zakaras took over.

It had a population of fewer than 10, people in the census. This seaside village is popular among surfers, mainly because of its headland, Lennox Point. The point break here is phenomenal. But that is not the only place you can surf. If you are looking for a Lennox Head surfing experience, an unforgettable adventure awaits you. If you have confidence in your surfing skills, then you will love Lennox Point. It is about half an hour from Byron Bay. This surf spot is only ideal for experienced surfers. The swells can be huge and the currents strong. When you are surfing here, beware of the rocks at the beach.
