Lindsay Marie Brewer born April 17, is an American racing driver. Brewer was born in Arvada , Colorado. When she was 11 years old, she raced a go-kart at a friend's birthday party and became interested in the sport. Ahead of the W Series season, Brewer was selected to test for a drive in the series. The test took place at Inde Motorsports Park in Arizona where she placed top three lap times in her group and was selected as the top 12 drivers. Brewer eventually elected to join the Indypro series as a rookie for season with Exclusive Autosport, as she wanted to compete in Open Wheel and in the coed series rather than in an all female series. At Road America , Brewer was involved in an incident where her car was launched into the air by a kerb at turn 5, an identical incident happening on the same weekend for Christian Bogle in the Indy Lights series.

Brewer is one of the few American women that could make the Indianapolis in the next few years — and she's relishing the opportunity. When not covering professional athletes, Julie spends her time as a very amateur athlete, training for marathons, long bike trips and hikes.
