These candidates are then given the opportunity to complete our Healthcare Assistant Course in just six months. This shortened timeframe, compared to the 12 — 18 months normally required for those simultaneously working in a pharmacy setting is made possible by removing the trainees from the staffing profile of that branch so they can focus solely on their training. Then those trainees who successfully complete the Fast Track Training Programme will be enrolled in the Technician training programme, requiring a further 2 year commitment. On completing of this stage, they will then become a registered Technician. Throughout all stages of the Fast Track programme, learners are allocated a protected study time of half a day per week, to ensure that the trainees have the best possible chance of achieving the required learning results for the benefit of their professional development.
