I've noticed Loquillo uses 'formal' in a way I wouldn't exactly expect in a few songs. Here he says his ex is now "formal," and he has another song called "Feo, fuerte y formal. In Loquillo's context, "formal" is used as somewhat of a contrast. Most of them speak about the youthful, aggressive, revolutionary "Rock and Roll attitude". In "Feo, Fuerte y Formal" it means serious and dignified, since it's the original sense the song was inspired from John Wayne's epitaph- "Ugly, strong and dignified".
