Well the M Audio AV 32's happen to meet these two areas of interests very well in my opinion and I'll explain why, while also addressing some of their criticisms: 1 I also own a pair of the M Audio AV 40 s the old 20 watt version which have been replaced by the AV 42 speakers, and many people complained about the bass output and made similar comments about how they weren't good for Hip Hop, etc.

But, overall, I am glad for the purchase. I did not experience any of the issues.

This audio system has beautiful sound and they look nice. One person found this helpful. This helps produce a tight, precise bass sound with remarkable accuracy. My baroque music while making Sunday lunch is charming and the church related talks human speech are crystal clear with no distortion almost to the top volume. If space is ridiculously tight, M-Audio also makes the slightly smaller AV32s. I originally bought these for my music studio setup and didn't want anything too fancy or expensive since it's just a small space in my bedroom after all. The drivers are ferrofluid cooled.
