Three Mechanical Bosses must be defeated in order to progress once a player has reached Hard Mode and acquired adequate gear. These bosses all drop the otherwise-unavailable Hallowed Bars and special Souls that can be used to forge new gear and continue forward with your adventure. Each of these require different strategies and the difficulty is subjective between player to player. Some will skilfully destroy a boss on the first try, while others will make many attempts without success. Reforging can be very expensive, but will make a drastic difference for you. Fury Lunatic Cultist. Unlike most other bosses, the Brain of Cthulhu is not immune to knockback.
