Do only larger plants, like the vegetables, get a better yield? Or does the large crop plot just look bigger and can hold more like water for irrigation? As far as what can be planted in them, small plots can hold berries, medium plots are the smallest for vegetables, and large plots are the only ones that can hold Plant X's. The only other difference is how much water they hold. The amount of crops each produces is the same regardless of size for example, berry plants will produce up to berries regardless of what size plot they're in, and will take the same amount of time to do it.

Once the plot is irrigated and fertilized, you can place the seed in its inventory and it will be planted after a few seconds. The plant will mature through several stages over the course of several day cycles, and once it has reached Fruitling status you will be able to harvest it continuously. Fruitlings will grow and hold up to of their planted berry type or of their planted advanced crop type.
