The last time I reviewed a Mountain Warehouse jacket, I gave it a thumbs-down after getting a severe soaking. Garry says the Gust Waterproof Jacket fairs well even on a simple dog walk. I chose a sleety, rainy, windy day to try it out and emerged bone dry.

Also, I've found that their gear is sized for your average armchair enthusiast, whereas the more technical brands tend to tailor their gear for a more active fit.
