Yeah, right earlier posting on this problem ended up with the guy having three new ECUs and the problem still came back. What I have found is that if you turn off the engine and leave it for 10 mins then restart then it is OK. MB customer service said if this occurs call the MB breakdown centre and they may give some help additional to driving to nearest dealership?

I have experienced this myself and with another of my friends A class. I've turned the tube degrees so you can see the split.

Hi, I've been trawling the net reading about starting problems on the A Class. Angry and frustrated!!! Just about every other car I've driven, when you turn the key in the ignition, there's a second 'springy' stage after position 2, when the engine starts to turn. The problem was EGR. But the mechanic told me that my MAF isn't working and sometimes my car losses power, and after I turn the car off wait a minute and tthen turn it on, the power is back. The rail pressure regulator was changed and it didn't help. Normally it's underneath and not visible, everything looks fine when you look into the engine bay from above but this little bleeder is doing just that! What should I do?
