The lamb boasted a good flavour and was tender, although not tender enough to fall of the bone. We would have both just preferred more punch to come through from the sauce.

London is short on Mexican restaurants which deliver the real thing, rather than the dreadful Tex-Mex experience. We arrive on a Thursday night which unfortunately coincides with the Mestizo Taco Night in the space downstairs and the staff are rushed off their feet. Standing around awkwardly with half a bottle of wine whilst you wait for space to be cleared was not great. We'd have stayed for a cocktail if it wasn't for that last annoyance, but regardless, this is a very good restaurant and I'd return for the quality of the food alone.
