The art in My Hero Academia is more cartoon-like than many other shonen anime series. The characters that roam the world of MHA are so iconic that fans will celebrate them no matter where they find them. That includes each of the official posters released as part of MHA's seasonal marketing campaigns. The official compilation poster released for Season 2 of My Hero Academia borrows a lot from the official poster used for Season 1. The biggest differences between the two can be seen in the facial expressions of each character in the image and the background color. The poster used for Season 2 gives every character the same expression, which admittedly works for every character outside of Shoto, who stands at the very front of the image. His dispassionate attempt at looking shocked is awkward enough to put this poster at the bottom of this list, despite the fact that it has one of the coolest shots of All Might found in any of the promotional posters.

The new sketch was posted to the manga author's personal Twitter account and shows the series' central trio of aspiring heroes — the wholesome Izuku "Deku" Midoriya, tempermental Katsuki Bakugo , and the aloof Shoto Todoroki — interacting with the cute animal mascots of Chikawa, a manga series by artist Nagano. Horikoshi drew the picture as part of a crossover between his shonen series and Nagano's cutesy comic strip, which is intended for younger audiences.
