Coming back to this forum for the first time since I was like, 15 8 years! As a precept to some larger theories, I just wanted to start off with this: how in the world does Princess Zelda seemingly know who Midna is? Midna knowing who Zelda is is simple, she's a woman locked in a tower -- but the former knowing the latter? It's part of the whole vibe of that initial meeting. Well, if Midna was traveling through Hyrule searching for someone who could help her fight Zant, it makes sense that she would look to Hyrule Castle pretty quickly. Zelda wouldn't fight, since Zant was holding her people hostage, but they might reasonably have spoken with each other. If nothing else, she probably told Midna the same story she tells Link, about Zant's attack on Hyrule Castle.
