Have you seen some of the tools available to MCPC for finding biomes, strongholds, villages, and so on, and missed the opportunity for doing the same on MCPE? Most prominent is the fact that the list of biomes are slightly different. So you'll have to translate a few of the biomes found into another biome type in your MCPE world. Another difference is related to internal storage of seed numbers within MCPC and MCPE, which results in the fact that if you have a negative MCPE seed number, you'll need to add 4,,, to your seed see this reddit for more information. Cubiomes is a standalone library, written in C, that mimics the Minecraft biome and feature generation. It is intended as a powerful tool to devise very fast, custom seed finding applications and large scale map viewers. You should be familiar with the C programming language, also a basic understanding of the Minecraft biome generation process would be helpful. A POSIX environment is required to compile the finders library and examples, but the core generator library may also work on other platforms. There is a reference document for the generator layers which contains a summary for most generator layers and their function within the generation process. There are two example programs in this repository which can be compiled using the makefile provided. Mushroom fields , commonly referred to as mushroom islands , are rare biomes which always generate as islands surrounded by deep oceans. They are the only place in the game where mycelium and mooshrooms are found, and have the special property that no hostile mobs normally spawn in them. Mushroom fields generate in areas where the continentalness values are the lowest, meaning they always generate as islands very far away from major landmasses, and are bordered by deep ocean biomes which have the second-lowest continentalness values of any temperature. Though in outdated versions, sometimes it connects landmasses. The islands have the occasional tendency to be close to one another, resulting in multiple mushroom fields separated by only a few hundred blocks. The mushroom fields generate in usually flat islands and have mycelium instead of grass blocks on the surface. Grass blocks that are placed by the player in this biome take on a bright green color, similar to the grass found in jungles.

Minecraft's Mushroom Fields biome, also known as Mushroom Islands, is the rarest, and quite possibly most unique, biome in the game, being covered with Huge Mushroom structures. Instead of Grass blocks, Mushroom Fields are covered in Mycelium, although this resource can only be mined with a tool enchanted with Silk Touch. As well, Mushroom Fields are always surrounded by Deep Oceans. Mushroom Fields are the only places where Mooshrooms will spawn naturally: they are always red unless they happen to be struck by lighting. While obviously scarce of most resources, this Biome is the safest place to establish a home because no hostile mobs can spawn on or underneath it, outside of creatures from Spawners.

Mushroom islands or mushroom fields are a unique biome in Minecraft where gigantic mushrooms can be found growing. They're fairly rare in the game, and are typically found in the form of isolated islands in the middle of the ocean, far away from the player's spawn, though there are exceptions to these rules. The mushroom field biome also spawns the famous red cows with mushrooms on their backs called mooshrooms.
