Luckily, a modder came to the rescue and finally gave our protagonist the ability to illuminate his surroundings. By default, the flashlight is bound to one of the Numpad keys, but you can rebind it to any other key with a bit of tinkering. While the game encourages you to experiment with various weapons, it also makes you pay for an arm and a leg to fully upgrade them. Quadrupling the number of resources is probably overkill, so start by doubling them and see how that feels before you decide to go all out. Using finger snapping as a way of picking locks was a brilliant decision, but, much like any other minigame, the novelty wears out pretty fast. Oh well, maybe in a future update.
