I just looked at the GM heritage center website, and your car was apparently produced with throttle body injection. I believe you simply ordered the wrong part. A non car guy might make that mistake. And forget using this dinosaur as a daily driver. The fact it still runs means it is decent enough to tinker with. But to try and depend on it is asking for hurt. As you noticed, parts are getting hard to find.

I need to replace the injector on my '86 2. The parts dept. I've read how the MPI guys can use Ford injectors to get a boost in performance. Is there a similar mod for the TBI? Your options are pretty limited from what I have been able to find out. They are discontinued from Jeep and there doesn't seem to be a lot of options in the aftermarket either. If you have found solution options I recently used Witch Hunter Performance out of Washington state.
