Moxie girlz

The Moxie dolls do indeed have regular feet : Nice reveiw as always!

I never would have anticipated the way these Bratz look alikes would mold my dolly world when I first learned of their existence in But as I reflect on these past eight years as an adult doll collector, I can see how they were slowly leaving a mark on me, even in those early days. In the years I had stepped away from my dolly hobby, there had been a time when Bratz were almost erased. MGA designed Moxie Girlz as a substitute, but kept the line around even when Bratz had secured their place on the market again. But in many ways, they mean almost as much to me, and without them, the course of my journey would have been altered.

But then I ended up with, like, twelve of them and I started getting bored. Especially because Moxie dolls have very, very, very flat faces. And what art style involves girls with very large eyes? Not the ramblings of an exhausted student with too much creative energy. So now you know all that, grab a piece of paper. If you want to start work on your doll instead of planning out the eyes on paper, make sure the doll is properly prepared to be repainted. For information on how to prep a doll for repainting, see my post on Materials and Doll Prep. You can start designing your eye in any way you want. I start by drawing the outline of the eye, then the top and bottom lashes. Thicker on top, thinner on the bottom lid. Add in the pupil.

I seal at this point to protect the color on the lips, the shading on the eyelids, the moxie girlz, and help the color of the irises next step really pop. Categories : Moxie Girlz Brands.

The Moxie dolls do indeed have regular feet : Nice reveiw as always! Amorie is my favorite! I think that's a good idea, Steph. I had a similar thought--especially because the Chelsea clothes fit pretty well. Amorie definitely deserves a better outfit! Neve is my favorite, probably because the blonde hair and the dirty marks make her look vulnerable xD. I agree! That Neve is so sweet.

Now do the reflections. Speaking of my Best Friends pack, it should be noted that I did in fact later regret giving away my Avery. I used a lighter pink dust to blush her forehead and chin. Also try and blow as much dust off the face as you can, and do a check for any stray chalk dust that may be lingering in a bad place under the chin is where my chalk dust goes to evade detection, apparently. I set the irises with a light blue pencil, then outlined them with a dark blue pencil Photo Eye reflections. Presumably the dark smudges are just dirt that can be washed away, but I think the scruffy appearance on some of these dolls might deter their sale. I can definitely see the family resemblance, but I might actually prefer Tally's little face to Kellan's. Honestly, I skip this step with a lot of my dolls. These two dolls have similar coloring, but the quality of the Our Generation doll is superior. Neve is wearing the same style of shoe as Tally, but hers are lavendar:.

Add in the iris, then the pupil. But believe it or not, the cheesy styling of the dolls inspired me more than any others had before. We spent hours upon hours walking through this enormous flea market, and as time wore on, we slowly acquired more and more treasures. Now you can shade the iris. Look so easy. By Moxie Girlz releases were less common and advertising was non existent. Anyway, I use a Delta Ceramcoat gloss interior varnish. That soft, fuzzy, flocked head, and his overall sweet demeanor were hard to ignore. After a 5 year court battle with Mattel over the Bratz doll line, MGA Entertainment lost ownership of the brand in The packaging is also minimal, which I love, and almost entirely cardboard simple to recycle. This is the step that takes me the longest. This one has softer, fluffier lashes. Still not sure why the green is happening.
