So begins the time of putting away preserves and cooking big bowls of soup. Soup is a fall comfort food for my family. We always look forward to those chilly evenings when the house is filled with the smell of soup simmering. Every family has ritual food. But as we hear health warnings about too much of this and not enough of that in our diets, food choices are changing. My grandmother and aunt would be cooking and I would make 'soup' in the sink with all the cooking scraps. I would also help my father make breakfast in bed for my mother. My mother did most of the cooking but my father would cook on special occasions. When I got a little older I started trying recipes on my own. I come from a family of good cooks. We had to eat here as it was always packed when we walked past. The lady serving us was really great and the food was like being at a family members for tea. A real experience. This is one of the places that we often visit when in Santa Ponsa. It was lovely to see it opening up after been closed during the covid. The meal we had was nice. We will be back when back in Santa Ponsa. Well worth a visit. We eat here it was very good and great prices. It is a nice quiet restaurant with tables inside and out. Absolutely amazing food for amazing prices. Lovely staff and you can tell it really is a popular place to eat. Wish we found it earlier on our holiday.
