Martin is a visionary. He was smart to keep Premodern completely separate from Legacy and Vintage, protecting the integrity of its originality and maintaining the nostalgia of the time. Premodern delivers the best gameplay and is the most skill-intensive format I have ever played. Trying to get into an eternal format like Vintage and Legacy in paper now is close to impossible for most people. Premodern offers so many unique archetypes and decks at affordable prices! If you want to take a look for a deck that fits your playstyle, off the top of my head, there are 32 decks that can win any given tournament. Where else can you find that? Premodern is a casual format that can also be played competitively.
